Andria Jaghmaidze, the Head of the Public Relations Department of the Patriarchate, responds to the murder in Ghvtaeba Monastery of Martkopi.

“As we have been informed from the Diocese, murder took place at Martkopi Ghvtaeba Monastery.

The monastery has sheltered homeless people and people with various social or medical problems. As we were told, one person with mental illness killed another person and escaped”, - wrote Jaghmaidze in the social network.

A man has been murdered in Ghvtaeba Monastery in Martkopi. He was found in the monastery cell. MIA has already launched the investigation.
