Georgian rescuers have found the body of the Ukrainian tourist who was trapped in an avalanche after a two-day rescue-search operation in the winter resort of Tetnuldi.

According to Levan Kurdiani, the Head of the rescue team of this resort said that the Ukrainian tourist was skiing in the same location where four Czech tourists got trapped in an avalanche yesterday. 

“On February, 11, the Emergency Management Service received a message saying that the group of tourists failed to contact with one of the tourists who supposedly was at the slope of the mountain where the avalanche occurred. Having got the message, the rescuers at the Emergency Management Service headed for Mount Tetnuldi and, after carrying out search and rescue operations, discovered the Ukrainian citizen’s body”, - reads the statement of the Emergency Management Service.
