“Signal to the Government of Georgia” - MEPs comment on the failure of the resolution

Markétka Gregorová, member of the European Parliament, responded to the voting down of a Final Statement of the parliamentary meeting between EU and Georgia.

“We voted down today a Final Statement of the parliamentary meeting between EU and Georgia. It is not a signal to the Georgian people; we keep supporting you on your European way. :) It is a signal to the Georgian government, that we see the controversies and take them seriously”, - tweeted Markétka Gregorová.

The Lithuanian lawmaker also criticized the Government of Georgia. Rasa Juknevichene said that she supports democratic and European Georgia, but not the use of the Courts against opposition.
