Officers of Shida Kartli police department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs as a result of operative-search and investigative activities detained J.B. (DoB 1995) for domestic violence against the family member committed in presence of an under-aged child and threat.

Committed crime envisages from 1 to 3 years of imprisonment.

Investigation established that detainee physically assaulted his wife – O.I. (DoB 1992) in the village of Sveneti, Gori municipality while visiting the victim’s sister and threatened the her with liquidation. The incident took place in presence of an under-aged child.

Investigation is in progress on the fact of domestic violence and threat against the family member committed in presence of an under-aged child, articles 126 II part, sub-paragraph “B” and 11-151, II part, sub-paragraph “D” envisaged by the Criminal Code of Georgia.
