The members of the Government and the parliamentary majority will donate 1/3 of their salary to the fund against coronavirus over the next three months.

According to the Executive Secretary of the Georgian Dream party, Irakli Kobakhidze, such decision was made after discussions and consultations in order to show solidarity with citizens.

“We are ready to make additional contributions to tackle the epidemic. We are confident that despite difficult circumstances, other members of our party, who work in the private or public sector, will contribute to this fund according to their income and social status and thus will show solidarity with our citizens.

Along with the professionalism of people involved in the fight against the epidemic, solidarity is a key weapon that will enable us to overcome the problem with minimal damage to the health and well-being of our citizens”, - said Kobakhidze.
