All members at the Rustavi City Council have been instructed to self-isolate as the mother of a deputy has tested positive for COVID-19. According to the existing information, the deputy himself has proved virus-free at this point.

Mayor Irakli Tabaghua also communicated with the deputy. As he said, he has not met the deputy for a week now. 

“Identified contacts have already been warned and are now in self-isolation. The internal monitoring is underway now to trace more contacts. 45 people, in his words, have already been tracked down”, - said the Mayor.

The buildings of Rustavi City Hall and Rustavi Municipality City Council are being disinfected.

It should be mentioned that the Deputy’s mother proves to be an employee at the National Bank, in which six other staff members have also tested positive for COVID-19.
