The MIA of Georgia warns population about false messages

Over the last period, customers of certain Georgian mobile operators received text messages on behalf of “UCKEBA” with the following content: “You’ve been fined for breaching the curfew regulations in the amount of 3000 GEL. R.M. police.ge”.

Ministry would like to inform citizens that no text messages have been sent to customers by the Ministry and the content is completely false.

Regarding the aforementioned fact and other similar cases, special inquiry has already been initiated on which respective response will be made in compliance with the Georgian legislation.
