The French Development Agency (AFD) and the Ministry of Finance of Georgia have signed two loan agreements for a total of EUR 190 million.
According to the agency, the first loan agreement, amounting to EUR 70 million, aims to support the health and social protection system of Georgia.
The second loan agreement, amounting to EUR 120 million, aims to support the reforms of the electricity sector.
The agreements were signed by the Minister of Finance of Georgia, Ivane Machavariani, AFD’s Head of the regional office for the South Caucasus, Gaëlle Assayag, and the French Ambassador in Georgia Diego Colas.
