Spread of virus is effectively under control. Such a statement made today the Prime Minister of Georgia at the meeting of the Inter-Agency Coordination Council of the Government of Georgia today.
“In line with information shared by the National Centre for Disease Control and Public Health, 3 new cases of infection have been detected in the country today and all of them originate from the quarantine zones. Spread of virus is effectively under control and it is evidenced by several facts: new cases of infection predominantly originate from quarantine zones, which confirms that it was a prudent decision to introduce quarantine in relevant locations of the country; new cases of infection stem solely from already known clusters; risk-related groups are international transportation, which are actively scrutinized by the Task Force of the Inter-Agency Coordination Council of the Government of Georgia and control is tightened. It also means that spread of the infectious pandemic is under control, which resulted from the joint effort of us and general public.
New task is faced in terms of a much quicker recovery of the economy. You may well be aware that we proposed a Plan for Economic Recovery of Georgia, which included concrete measures. Today we can state as a matter fact that we are positioned well to slightly accelerate the implementation of this plan”, - said Giorgi Gakharia.
