The Prime Minister of Georgia responded to the President of the European People’s Party, former head of the European Council Donald Tusk, who urged the Georgian Dream government to “fully abide by the March 8 election agreement” and release Giorgi Rurua.
“I fully agree that the March, 8, agreement should be fulfilled. The constitutional process is underway and I’m sure that it will be completed in a way which befits the country. It’s up to the law-enforcing system to assess any concrete violation and crime.
I’ve said it more than once that the election system is utterly important for our democratization and strengthening of our country. It is utterly important that it"s the law-enforcing system and the court which assess concrete violations and crimes. This is my comment”, - said Giorgi Gakharia.
