Giga Bokeria, European Georgia political party leader, said that Aleko Elisashvili was offering Levan Ioseliani’s majoritarian candidacy to the oppositional parties in Mtatsminda district. But when he was refused he said that he wouldn’t participate in the trade.
“He was asking to all opposition parties to nominate Ioseliani in Mtatsminda. However, when he was noted that Ioseliani got 5 times fewer votes than Shalva Shavgulidze, we didn’t get any answers about it. If he is calling it trade, then why was he bargaining with us?
Dishonesty is bad behavior and confronting the coordination idea means helping Ivanishvili. Saying that you won"t form a coalition with anyone is the equivalent of saying that you’ll let Bidzina Ivanishvili make one. Otherwise, the country will be left without the Government.
Once again, he was offered to run in Mtatsminda himself. We want to nominate strong candidates to defeat Ivanishvili in the first round. However, it’s dishonesty when you enter the negotiations and once you don’t get it then you start condemning it and targeting one of the most decent men in Georgian politics, Shavgulidze. Everybody has lost the previous elections, including him. Why was he offering the candidate who got 6 times fewer votes in Mtatsminda?”, - concluded Bokeria.
