Family members of Khvicha Mghebrishvili, who was detained by the occupational regime, said that it is absurd that he was collecting bat cocoons on the occupied territory.

According to the locals in Mejvriskhevi, the statements of the de-facto regime are ridiculous. Mghebrishvili’s family members presume that Khvicha had talked about bats under pressure or simply joked. 

The de facto State Security Committee of Tskhinvali reported that Georgian citizen intended to get the so-called “Bat cocoons”, for subsequent sale in Georgia at a price of USD 5 000 per piece. Khvicha Mghebrishvili was detained two weeks ago.
