We must make Mikheil Saakashvili keep his promise, return him to Georgia and hold him accountable before the law. Such a statement made today the Executive Secretary of the Georgian Dream Party.

“The UNM today holds the second place with 12%, but we have high hopes that this figure will be further reduced. It is very important for the Georgian democracy to move forward and develop.

As for the apology of Mikheil Saakashvili. It is his nature that he apologizes before the elections. Saakashvili suddenly remembered the heinous crimes committed by the UNM under his leadership 8 years later. Most of these crimes have been proved by the Georgian court and some of them - by the Strasbourg court.

It is an offence that the UNM under his leadership gave 20% of Georgia’s territory to Russia.

However, we should emphasize once again that the political response of the society is not enough. Of course, we must make Saakashvili keep his promise, we must return him to Georgia and hold him accountable before the law”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
