From today all quarantine restrictions are lifted in the Mestia municipality.
According to deputy governor of the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region Nino Vibliani, around 5,000 PCR tests have been performed here.
“In the village of Lenjeri no virus signs have been detected. Despite lifting the restrictions, locals will be subject to thermal screening, with PCR tests also being conducted as planned”, - said Vibliani.
Mestia Municipality has been placed under quarantine restrictions on 10 August because of the increase of COVID-19 cases and a difficult epidemiological situation. The decision was made after 17 cases of coronavirus were detected simultaneously in the municipality.
