One of the firefighters-rescuers of the Poti Division of the Emergency Management Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Department of Fire and Rescue Forces, tested positive for coronavirus.

He underwent the planned PCR test on September 4. Two weeks earlier, his test result was negative.

The person was on duty on September 6. All employees who worked that day have been monitored and undergone COVID-19 testing. The building was thoroughly disinfected.

Epidemiologists are identifying the source and contacts. The firefighter-rescuer feels well. He is at Poti Hospital.
