Wizz Air will restore direct flights from Kutaisi to Riga starting October 1. Such a statement made today the Prime Minister of Georgia at the Government meeting.
“Today, we must discuss, and in fact, the preliminary discussions have already been held, the agreement to begin direct flights to another destination. As of today, direct flights from Tbilisi to Europe are open to international airlines such as Lufthansa, Air France, AirBaltic, as well as our national carrier. Today, we have decided to begin direct flights from Kutaisi to Riga from 1 October. These flights will be carried out by Wizz Air. This will not be a bold decision as this entails only one flight per week; however, this reflects the trend, whereby we must do everything to restore the economy even faster, in a prudent and careful manner”, - said Giorgi Gakharia.
Georgia opened its borders for travelers from Germany, France, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia.
