Davit Bakradze claims it is a lie that he received an offer for positions from the United National Movement. Such a statement the leader of European Georgia made, while commenting on the reports, according to which, the UNM offered European Georgia to support Mikheil Saakashvili as the Prime Minister in exchange for supporting Bakradze as the Parliament Chairman.

“There was a public offer on the unified list, which was immediately given a negative public assessment by us, because the unified list means promoting polarization, which is already a problem in Georgia today. It would scare the voters, who do not want either Bidzina Ivanishvili or Mikheil Saakashvili, but want a variety of options.

There have been no talks on posts, and we would not accept it anyway, as our task is not to distribute posts, but to make crucial changes for 4 million Georgians who are in a very difficult situation.

Our position is that there should be diverse choices in the country, Georgia no longer needs one-party rule and there should be a multi-party government. All this contradicts the unified list and our position was clearly negative from the beginning. As for offering positions, this is a direct lie”, - said Davit Bakradze.
