Trial of detainees in Bolnisi and Marneuli confrontation may be held today. Police detained 4 persons in connection with the cases of violence, that took place on September 27, in Nakhiduri village, Bolnisi municipality and Marneuli on September 29.

Based on the decision of the Judge, in connection with the fact of violence that took place in Marneuli on September 29, the activist (born in 1987) of “Georgian Dream” political party and head of LTD “Marneuli Auto Park” of Marneuli municipality (born in 1977) have been detained, who subjected “UNM” activists to violence and physically assaulted them.

The “United National Movement” activist (born in 1986) has also been detained based on the decision of the Judge, for violence exercised against “Georgian Dream” activists in Nakhiduri village, Bolnisi municipality. The mentioned person inflicted health damage with a blunt object to the supporters of “Georgian Dream” political party.

On the basis of the relevant arrest warrant issued by the Judge, Member of the “UNM” (born in 1989) was also detained on the fact of violence that took place inside the building where election commission is stationed, during the incident detainee physically assaulted member of the election commission.

The crime committed by detainees envisages up to 2 years of imprisonment.
