The Ambassador of Georgia to Denmark expresses his support for Iveri Melashvili, former Chairman of the Georgia-Azerbaijan Delimitation Commission, who was arrested in connection with the Davit Gareji case.

“I fully support Melashvili, whom I have known personally since 1997 and I consider him a distinguished patriot of his country, Georgia, a professional and irreplaceable expert in the process of delimitation-demarcation of our state border. The charges against Melashvili are so absurd and unreasonable that I find it difficult to comment on it. I hope that the investigation will provide comprehensive answers to all questions and that a completely innocent person will be released soon”, - Gigi Gigiadze.
