We all need to show the world that we can hold democratic and open elections under the conditions of COVID. Such a statement made today the Prime Minister of Georgia before the governmental meeting.

“These few days before the elections are extremely important, because the 31 October parliamentary elections are extremely important for Georgia. I want to tell you that all polling stations will fully comply with the rules established by epidemiologists. We all need to show the world how we can hold one of the best democratic and open elections in Georgia under the conditions of COVID-19”, - said Giorgi Gakharia.

He added that the rules set by the epidemiologists will be fulfilled at all polling stations.

“Everyone should understand that obeying the rules is the only right way, resulting in fewer restrictions. Obeying the rules is the only right balance between minimizing the damage to our citizens’ lives, health, and economy”, - concluded the Head of the Government.
