The general opinion of foreign partners is that everyone should respect the results announced by the CEC. Such a statement the Speaker of the Parliament made after meeting with representatives of the OSCE/ODIHR Election Observation Mission.
“They reiterated the OSCE/ODIHR EOM conclusion that this election was highly competitive and fundamental rights were protected. In fact, the results show that for the first time in the recent history of Georgia, we held parliamentary elections in a substantially proportional system, as a result of which, political parties were able to cross the threshold independently and enter the parliament. The parliament will be multi-party. Elections serve to strengthen Georgia’s democracy.
The general opinion is that everyone should respect the results of the election process, the results announced by the Central Election Commission. Of course, Georgian Dream is committed to respect the decision made by our society. We call on all political parties to respect the choice of our society and the results announced by the Central Election Administration”,- said Archil Talakvadze.
