Georgia has no time to lose. One cannot say that elections may be held in a better manner in the future. Such a statement made German Ambassador to Georgia Hubert Knirsch in the interview to Interpressnews.
“The fact that negotiations are being held means that we are not at a deadlock, at least at this point. If the conversation is only about the past, it means that the parties are just wasting each other’s time. The constitution exists in the country not to invent something new in every new political situation, but to stay within the framework of the constitution and to find a solution within it.
We see that parties are less and less able to talk to each other, they do not cooperate. They consider each other enemies instead of being partners in the democratic process. I think we cannot blame individuals for this, but different individuals make different contributions to this.
Georgia has no time to lose. One cannot say that elections may be held in a better manner in the future and I will take part in the political process then. Everyone must work now to improve the situation and solve the country’s challenges”, - said the Ambassador of Germany.
