The GEL 300 assistance program for self-employed persons will be restored. Such a statement made today the Prime Minister of Georgia.

“We are introducing the same kind of targeted social assistance that we had for the self-employed during the first wave - GEL 300. We have already started registering these people and in addition to this GEL 300 assistance, we undertake that the state will help each person to defer their loans. 300,000 people benefited from GEL 300 assistance during the first wave. Currently, this field is narrowed and we think that there will be somewhere between 100-120,000 beneficiaries.

The assistance program will also be launched for 6 months from January 1 for people who have lost their jobs and they will receive a total of GEL 1 200 in 6 months”, - said Giorgi Gakharia.
