The officers of Kvemo Kartli Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs as a result of operative-investigative activities detained the citizen of Russian Federation A.G. (DoB 1973) for illegal purchase-keeping of drugs in especially large quantities.

Committed crime envisages from 8 to 20 years or lifetime imprisonment.

Law enforcers detained A.G. on Tbilisi-Butskhrikidze-Lagodekhi highway, on the territory of Gardabani municipality while he was driving. As a result of the personal search of the detainee, police seized 1 kg. of “Heroin” drug as well as 8390 GEL and 400 USD.

Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase-keeping of drugs in especially large quantities, article 260, VI part, sub-paragraph “A” of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
