The 51st round of the Geneva International Discussions (GID) will be held on December 10-11.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Georgia will raise the issue of Russia’s illegal steps in the region, with the situation being particularly exacerbated amidst the pandemic.
The issue of the violations of the 12 August 2008 Ceasefire Agreement, military exercises, the so-called process of borderization and the necessity that Russia comply with the ceasefire agreement will also be put forth.
The Georgian side will focus on the necessity of releasing illegally detained Georgians by the occupation regime, including the issue of Irakli Bebia’s arrest, who was sentenced to 9 years in prison.
