The Georgian Dream has submitted Giorgi Gakharia’s candidacy for the post of Prime Minister of Georgia to the Parliament.

The relevant letter, which is dated December 12, is signed by the chairman of the ruling party Bidzina Ivanishvili.

The Government resigned in a routine procedure after parliamentary elections at the first session of the new Parliament. All ministers serve a caretaker Government function before the Prime Minister forms a new Government.
