1 972 new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed within the last 24 hours. It was announced by Berdia Sichinava, Deputy Head of the Task Force operating at the Inter-Agency Coordination Council at a press-briefing held today at the Government Administration.

Out of 1 972 new cases confirmed today in the country: 920 cases were detected in Tbilisi, 139 - in Adjara, 279 - in Imereti, 112 - in Kvemo Kartli, 145 - in Shida Kartli, 30 - in Guria, 120 - in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, 117 - in Kakheti, 57 - in Mtskheta-Mtianeti, 32 - in Samtskhe-Javakheti and 21 - in Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti.

At present, active cases of current viral infection is 22 628, out of which: 6 627 individuals are treated at hospitals, out of which 2 903 are stationed in Tbilisi, 747 - in Adjara and 1 347 - in Imereti.

Acute health conditions are experienced in the case of 1 068 patients, out of which 523 are based in Tbilisi, 119 - in Adjara, and 226 - in Imereti. Lung ventilators are used in the case of 453 patients with acute health conditions, out of which 195 are stationed in Tbilisi, 98 - in Adjara and 78 - in Imereti.
