In the past 24 hours, 594 new infection cases have been confirmed, said Berdia Sichinava, Deputy Head of the Task Force under the Interagency Coordination Council.
“3 845 tests have been conducted throughout the country under the intensive testing program in the past 24 hours, including 2 199 antigen and 1 646 PCR tests.
Consequently, we have 594 new cases confirmed in the past 24 hours. Since the first outbreak of COVID-19 in the country, we have had a total of 225 893 confirmed cases.
We have 1 494 recoveries in the past 24 hours, increasing the total number of recoveries to 229 763.
Unfortunately, 25 people have died in the past 24 hours. Since the outset of the pandemic, we have had a total of 2 628 fatalities.
Of the 594 cases identified today, 226 were confirmed in Tbilisi, 64 in Adjara, 87 in Imereti, 24 in Kvemo Kartli, 20 in Shida Kartli, 32 in Guria, 64 in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, 44 in Kakheti, 20 in Mtskheta-Mtianeti, 8 in Samtskhe-Javakheti, and 5 in Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti.
