Giorgi Akhlouri, accused of murdering his brother, was sentenced to imprisonment as a measure of restraint on the motion of the Prosecutor’s office.

Accortding to the Prosecutor’s office, Tbilisi City Court shared the motion of the Agency and sentenced G.A. to imprisonment.

Police detained G.A. (DoB 1999) for committing premeditated murder of a family member. Committed crime envisages from 7 to 15 years of imprisonment.

Investigation established that detainee, on the basis of conflict, inflicted injury with a cold steel to his brother M.A. (DoB 2001). The wounded person was transferred to the treatment facility by the ambulance crew, however the victim died due to the sustained trauma. The weapon of crime – knife was seized by police as evidence.

Investigation is in progress on the fact of premeditated murder of a family member, article 11-108 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
