COVID-infected citizen fined in Batumi for breaching rules of isolation and quarantine

The Ministry of Internal Affairs, in accordance with the decision of the Interagency Coordination Council of the Government of Georgia, continues to monitor the implementation of rules and recommendations imposed against the spread of "Covid 19" across the country.


The officers of Adjara Main Division of the Patrol Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, fined T.T. (DoB 1975) for breaching rules of Isolation and Quarantine.


On January 4, 2021 T.T. was diagnosed with Covid-19 as a result of testing, due to which he was recommended with self-isolation by the medical staff. However, the mentioned citizen abandoned the place of isolation on this own will.


Covid-infected T.T. was fined by the law enforcers while taking a ride in one of the streets of Batumi by his car.


The citizen was fined with 2000-2000 GEL under the article 42-10 of the Code of Administrative Offences. After fining, the mentioned persons, they were taken to the hotel allocated for Covid-infected citizens.
