The trial of 33-year-old Zaza Gakheladze, a citizen of Georgia, will be held in occupied Tskhinvali today.

Gakheladze was detained by the occupation forces near the dividing line on July 11, 2020. He is accused of illegally crossing the so-called “border” and opening fire on “guards”. Zaza Gakheladze was wounded during the illegal detention.

In December 2020, the so-called court of occupied Tskhinvali region extended Gakheladze’s detention for 2 months.
