The so-called supreme court of occupied Tskhinvali sentenced Zaza Gakheladze to 12 years and 6 months in prison.

The citizen of Georgia was found guilty under Article 317 of the Russian Criminal Code (violation of the life of a law enforcement officer) and Article 322 (illegal crossing of the state border).

33-year-old Georgian citizen was detained by the occupation forces on July 11 near the dividing line. Gakheladze is accused of illegally crossing the-called border and opening fire on “border guards”. He was wounded during the illegal detention.
