The Minister of Internal Affairs held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Georgia - Kelly Degnan.

At the meeting the parties discussed the ongoing projects supported on behalf of the United States within the Ministry. The discussions also focused on the importance of joint measures in order to combat drug trafficking, cybercrime and organized crime. Parties stressed the significance of the strategic partnership between Georgia and the United States.

Vakhtang Gomelauri expressed gratitude for the contribution to the development of the capacity of the Ministry and support provided by the United States Government.

Parties underlined the importance of further strengthening successful cooperation between the two countries and outlined future priority directions.
