International reactions to the detention of Nika Melia are quite measured and soft. Such a statement made today Nikoloz Samkharadze, the Chairperson of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Relations.

“Opposition leaders in other developed countries do not behave like they do in Georgia. Therefore, criticism was expected and may even be partially acceptable to us. In order for the leaders of the opposition not to act so rudely and arrogantly, not to challenge the law, society and the state - the dialogue, constructiveness and taking into account the will of the electorate is needed”, - added Nikoloz Samkharadze.
