The representatives of the legislative and executive authorities laid a wreath to the memorial of the Cadets perished in the battle for the independence of Georgia near Kojori-Tabakhmela and led a minute of silence to pay tribute to their memory.

“Today we honor our heroic ancestors who sacrificed their lives for the homeland, independence and freedom. They are an example of heroism serving as a role model for all generations, teaching them how to love the homeland and how to protect freedom and independence when threatened.

100 years later, Georgia is a sovereign, democratic state, however, the occupation of the country’s territories has not yet waned.

Through peaceful steps, democratic development, strengthening the economy, and together with our international partners, Georgia will be united, IDPs will return home and we will rebuild bridges, which, unfortunately, were destroyed by the Russian Federation. The barbed wire wall will inevitably be torn down, just as the Berlin Wall fell in its time”, - said the Speaker of the Parliament Archil Talakvadze.
