The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia responded to the statement of Sergei Naryshkin, Director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, on Georgia-US relations.

“As never before, cooperation between Georgia and its key strategic partner is at the highest level in all areas: defense and security, economic cooperation, strengthening democracy, the US-Georgia Strategic Partnership Charter. This was also proved by the statements of the top US administration, Blinken’s statement even before his candidacy was considered in the Senate - supportive statements in the context of NATO, statements about the occupied territories of Georgia, the ongoing Russian aggression and occupation.

We saw bipartisan support from Congress with the re-initiation of the Georgia Support Act. This is exactly what bothers them. This is a classic example of hybrid war, of how they try to confuse Georgian society, create nihilism and portray issues in a completely different way and in a context desirable for them”, - said Davit Zalkaliani.

A few days ago Sergei Naryshkin said that the White House was irritated by the course of the Georgian Dream.
