NATO Secretary General’s Special Representative for the South Caucasus and Central Asia responded to the visit of Georgian Prime Minister to Brussels.
“Timely visit today by Georgian Prime Minister Garibashvili, with FM Zalkaliani, to meet the Secretary General and the NAC. Open and constructive discussions on a range of issues. As always, NATO support Georgia. My main takeaway: given its regional situation, the Covid crisis, and the pressing need for continued reform and enhanced resilience, Georgia doesn’t have the time for a prolonged political crisis. As soon as possible, the political polarization must diminish, opposition parties should return to parliament so it can function properly, and all parties should agree together a common way forward for the political process. We support the EU and US mediation efforts, led by two excellent diplomats”, - writes James Appathurai on his Facebook page.
