Christian Danielsson, personal representative of the President of the European Council Charles Michel, US and EU ambassadors to start meetings with political parties today.
Yesterday he met with the representatives of non-governmental organizations.
Civil society organizations shared their visions with Danielsson on ways to resolve the crisis in the country.
After the meeting he made a brief comment for media.
“Since my last mission here I’ve had contacts in Brussels, with all those in European institutions who are engaged in relations with Georgia, that includes of course President Michel, EEAS, European Commission, European Parliament. I can inform you that you that EU is resolutely engaged to help Georgia to overcome the present political crisis.
But, of course, the responsibility for it is not for European Union, it is for political leaders here. I think also that we have, over last mission when I was here, got a good understanding of issues.
Let me point out that the compromise is not weakness, compromise is strength, compromise is a sing of democracy in Georgia working; compromise is European way”, - stated Danielsson.
