A compromise of this kind is difficult for all and it will call for the political will. Such a statement made Christian Danielsson, special envoy of the European Council President, after the meeting with the negotiating parties in Georgia.
“What I can say is that a compromise of this kind is difficult for all. It will call for the political will to make the necessary move. But, it seems to me that the overarching interest here is the national interest of Georgia. And that is to come out of this political crisis and be able to get focus on the real issues that is the Covid pandemic, that is the economy, that is also to look into the national security of Georgia, and, of course, also the European path of Georgia”, - said Christian Danielsson.
