If elections were to take place next week, 35% of respondents would vote for Georgian Dream, 18% - UNM - IRI survey

According to the new poll by the International Republican Institute, when asked “If elections were held this coming Sunday, for which party, if any, would you vote?”, 35% named the Georgian Dream, 18% would vote for the United National Movement, 3% would vote for the European Georgia, and 3% for Strategy Aghmashenebeli.

2% of the respondents named Girchi - More Freedom - Zurab Girchi Japaridze, 2% - Labor Party, 2% - Citizens - Aleko Elisashvili and Alliance of Patriots respectively; 1% of respondents said they would vote for the Lelo, 1% - for other party. 10% of respondents would not vote for any party, 15% do not know / or do not have an answer to the question of who they would vote for.

This survey was conducted on behalf of IRI’s Center for Insights in Survey Research by Dr. Rasa Alisauskiene of the public and market research company Baltic Surveys/The Gallup Organization between February 2 and February 26, 2021. The fieldwork was conducted by the Institute of Polling and Marketing.

Data was collected using a multistage probability sampling method through in-person, in-home interviews. The sample consists of 1,500 Georgians aged 18+ and eligible to vote. The data was weighted for age, gender, region and settlement size. The margin of error is plus or minus 2.5%, and the response rate was 75%. This survey was made possible by the generous support of the USAID.
