National Drug Laboratory will be established in Georgia, which will study the quality of local and imported pharmaceutical products. Such a statement made today the Minister of Health in the Parliament.

“We have to apply to European laboratories to check the quality of medicines, which is a barrier for continuous control of the quality. An appropriate budget and infrastructure have already been mobilized to set up the laboratory. In addition to safety and effectiveness, the quality of medicines is one of the tools of price regulation. The mentioned control processes will be intensive and transparent”, - said Ekaterine Tikaradze.
