Discussion of amnesty projects postponed for 10 days due to holidays

Because of the holidays announced in Georgia, the parliamentary activities will be suspended.

According to Guram Macharashvili, the First Deputy Chairperson of the Parliamentary Committee on Procedural Issues and Rules, the amnesty projects will be registered at the sitting of the First Bureau, at the end of the week.

“Holidays have been announced in Georgia. Consequently, this means that holidays concern the Parliament as well.

After the holidays, the amnesty bills initiated by both the Georgian Dream and the opposition will be registered at the nearest bureau, and the first committee hearing will be held on both bills”, - said Guram Macharashvili.

“As for our bill, it can be said that it reflects with absolute accuracy the agreement that has been reached. The initiative to set up a commission of inquiry was also voiced. But our position is, I think, clear that the only bill we will support is the bill we have registered. If any reconciled position can be formed in the working process in the Parliament, then we will reconsider our position”, - said the MP Salome Samadashvili.
