Lelo faction in the Parliament urges the Branch Economy and Environment Committees to hold a sitting over Namakhvani HPP.

MPs from the opposition faction want Ministers of Economy, Justice and Environment Protection to attend the sitting.

“Construction of Namakhvani HPP is important for the country’s energy independence and economic development. However, it should happen in line with international standards.

When, on the one hand, there are so many questions in the public, and, on the other hand, over eighty energy, hydro or other similar projects have not been implemented in Georgia, backed by billions of investments, it indicates that Georgian Dream cannot manage processes or economic policy”, - said Mamuka Khazaradze.
