Vakhtang Makharoblishvili has been appointed Georgia’s Representative to the European Union, and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Kingdom of Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
The appointment comes after Georgia’s former Ambassador to EU Natalie Sabanadze resigned in March 2021.
Makharoblishvili has been working in various positions in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 2000. In July 8, 2019, he became the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.
