The officers of Senaki Police Division under Samegrelo -Zemo Svaneti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained B.G. (DoB 1997), as a result of operative-search and investigative activities for inflicting severe damage to health and illegal purchase-keeping and carrying of firearm.

The committed crime envisages from 3 to 6 years of imprisonment.

The investigation established that the accused person, on the grounds of conflict that existed between the parties in the past, wounded L.M. (DoB 1975) with a firearm on the road leading to the village of Khorshi and fled from the place of crime. The injured man was transferred to the hospital.

As a result of immediate investigative and search activities police arrested B.G. the next day after the incident, in Mtskheta.

Investigation is in progress on the fact of inflicting severe damage to health and illegal purchase-keeping and carrying of firearm, article 117, Part I and Article 236, Parts III and IV of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
