The Speaker Kakha Kutchava met with the Secretary General of PABSEC, Asaf Hajiev to disucss the relations between the Parliament of Georgia and the Assembly.

The sides put an emphasis on the importance of PABSEC activities, which, in the parties’ view, could bring good to the people of the Member States. The importance of enhancing economic and cultural cooperation among the Assembly’s member states was emphasized. Furthermore, it was observed that, in the context of the worldwide pandemic, expanding health-related collaboration is particularly important.

Hajiyev reiterated his steadfast support for Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, and extended an invitation to the Speaker to visit him in Istanbul.
