It is very important for NATO to see that polarization is reduced. Such a statement made today NATO Secretary General’s Special Representative before meeting with Parliament’s Chairman Kakha Kuchava.
“We are really pleased to see that the reforms mediated by the European Union are being implemented, that most of the political parties have signed the amendments, on which an agreement has been reached with the help of the EU. We are also pleased that there is progress on judicial reform and that the US Ambassador is very active in this regard.
So, things are moving in the right direction and this is good news for Georgians in the first place, because they need to implement reforms, and this is good news also for NATO, because in order to get closer to NATO, to join NATO, of course, political processes must function”, - said James Appathurai.
