Foreign diplomats are responding to the events that took place in Tbilisi yesterday.

“Shocked by scenes of violence, attacks on journalists and NGOs offices in Tbilisi. Perpetrators must be brought to justice immediately, Constitutional rights and freedoms restored. Democracy in Georgia is at stake and all actors incl Government must act with full responsibility”, - twitted Petr Mikyska, Czech Ambassador to Georgia.

“Violence and threats against journalists and LGBTI, including Pride, are unacceptable. The Netherlands calls on Georgia’s leaders and law enforcement to protect those who exercise their Constitutional rights to freedom of assembly and expression”, - reads the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
