Ketevan Meskhishvili and Revaz Nadaraia, candidates for the Supreme Court, are being heard in the Committee on Legal Affairs.

The interview process is attended by a majority of MPs, representatives of NGOs, the Bar Association, the legal service and the academic community. The process is also monitored by the OSCE / ODIHR.

According to Rule 111 of the Parliament’s Rules of Procedure, the time for each faction, political group, and faction-independent MPs to interview judicial candidates was set.

Georgian Dream has 75 minutes to interview each candidate, Charles Michel Reform Group - 15 minutes, Lelo - Partnership for Georgia - 15 minutes, United National Movement - United Opposition Power is in Unity - 32 minutes, political group Girchi - 15 minutes, political group Citizens - 15 minutes, political group European Socialists - 15 minutes, and the faction-independent MPs - a total of 33 minutes.

Non-parliamentary subjects will also have the opportunity to ask questions during the interview. In particular, the Chairman of the Bar Association, the Director of the Legal Service, the Public Defender, representatives of non-governmental organizations and academia will be given a total of 75 minutes, or 15 minutes per subject.
