The summoning of the Minister of Internal Affairs to the Parliament was discussed at the sitting of the parliamentary majority. Besides, participants discussed the latest developments in Georgia and also focused on the issues at the top of the agenda.

“5-6 July developments in the country were also discussed, with everyone agreeing unanimously that violence in general and against journalists is absolutely inadmissible. Of course, offenders must be punished”, - said Shalva Papuashvili, MP from the Georgian Dream.

One of the main topics of discussion was the issue of Georgian Dream candidates in the self-government elections. As MPs said, the ruling team has already selected mayoral candidates and their nominations will begin in the near future.
